For an oversized jogger the pattern is the product. The hip and leg widths, the drop from the waist and the relationship between the leg opening and the ankle finish all have to be agreed early, because a small change in leg width changes how the whole silhouette reads. The drawcord channel and the exposed cord need to be specified together so the waist detail stays consistent, and the rear welt pocket must be positioned so it does not disturb the seat panel when the fit is roomy. On fabric, a cotton-rich knit gives a soft hand and good print or embroidery take-up, and terry alternatives are available where a lighter or more textured surface is wanted for a different season. Colour approval matters more than usual here because off-white and olive both show shade variation across lots.

Sample Development Notes

Confirm on the first sample: leg and hip width for the intended oversized look, leg opening versus ankle finish, waistband height and cord length with metal end finish, rear welt position and depth, and the size and stitch of the logo mark on the left thigh. Shrinkage on a cotton-rich knit is the key risk, so wash testing should run before size grading is locked, and all three colourways should be approved against the same reference standard because off-white is the most sensitive to lot variation.
